



Pathways Credit Union approached us with a request to create a holiday animation that would showcase how they serve and care for a diverse demographic. There's no restrictions on who a credit union will work with, and they wanted to celebrate that in the 2024 holiday season.
Once we as a team at Bullseye Media developed a script and a tone for this project, I took it solo and created storyboards that we could share with the client. From there, I built out an animatic to block out the motion, and to give our contacts at Pathways a clear idea of what the project would look like.
The visual goal of this project was to have the feel of a pop up storybook. There was to be minimal animation, focusing on 3D camera movement to carry you through the story, with a few moments throughout that would be enhanced with additional animation. We kept it to a simple grayscale color palette, with texture and shading throughout to give it a familiar, hand-drawn feeling.
When the final project was shared with the Pathways team, it was met with high praise! I cut together two more teaser versions of the story to be able to extend its social media presence throughout the holiday season, and then the project was wrapped with a bow and a beautiful compliment from one of their team members:
"I think this may be the first authentic narrative about embracing who we serve where they are, and also how diverse we can be...I hope it gets the attention it deserves. It's splendid."
