John and Critters
Around 2019, I had the privilege of helping to develop an animated series for Minnesota Equipment. which has become known simply as John and Critters. Our intention with this was for it to look very homemade and DIY, in the spirit of their demographic of at home, DIY, hardworking people. The characters, elegantly named John, Deer, and Bird, get up to various escapades that are aided by their seasonal tools from Minnesota Equipment. No matter what, Minnesota Equipment can provide these friends with what they need to get the job done, all while having a great time doing it.
While the characters were designed by a coworker at Bullseye Media, each animated short is written, designed, and fully animated within Photoshop and After Effects by me.
In addition to the John and Critters animated series, I also create short, kinetic typography animations for Minnesota Equipment's social media pages. This style of video is something I do a lot of at Bullseye Media, but Minnesota Equipment is one of my favorite clients to create these for!
